History after Marx

The industrial revolution happened in Europe, Russia was the one of the last to Industrialize.

All the countries in Europe started to Imperialize Africa.

The newly founded Germany started causing some problems with Britain and France.

Czar Nicholas II came to power and started having problems with Austria-Hungary.

WWI broke out and Nicholas appointed a bad general.

Russia's economy fails and it suffers heavy losses. REvolution breaks out and a provisional government is set up. A revolution over threw the provisional government. Soviet Russia is established.

Karl Marx

He believed that capitalism would lead to destruction. Eventually, socialism would replace capitalism, which would be stateless and have no social classes. In other words, he believed that pure communism would eventually happen.

He wrote the Communist Manifesto, which stated that society is driven by conflict and that there are 2 different types of people: the have's and the have not's.

He believed that the have not's would start a revolution. These are the 5 steps that would make that revolution happen:

1. Become rich off capitalism

2. Have-not's will start getting angry and start rioting

3. A classless system will appear

4. The have-nots will redistribute the wealth

5. The government will wither away

Here is the information we will be covering:

The book 1984 was written as a warning to what Karl Marx predicted as the future of society in his book Communist Manifesto. In Communist Manifesto Marx predicted a fully industrial society would soon become classless and government would disappear. For this to happen the lower class of society would have use their numbers to overthrow the government. The wealth would become distributed evenly and government would no loner exist. This system of government is known as Totalitarianism.

1984 exists in a society that is on the brink of becoming this type of society with a whole lower of class that could overthrow the g0vernment.
